As a Texas Resident, state law requires you to register and title your vehicle. Auto tags can be renewed at any Tax Office location or, if you have the renewal notice from the State, you may renew your registration for vehicles only (not trailers or motorcycles) at any HEB store in Bexar County. The grocery store registration is available daytime, evenings, and weekends for the convenience of taxpayers of Bexar County and costs $1.00 additional. Please be sure to have current proof of insurance with you at the time of renewal registration.

If you are having repeated problems getting your new vehicle repaired, and it was purchased or leased from a licensed Texas dealer or lease company, the Texas Lemon Law may be able to help you get it repurchased, replaced or repaired. Your used vehicle may be covered under the Lemon Law. If your used vehicle is still covered by the manufacturer’s original warranty (not an extended service contract), or if the problem started while under warranty and it continues to exist, repair assistance of the warranty-related problem may be available to you.
