(SAN ANTONIO) July 10, 2024 – The San Antonio Auto Dealers Association (SADA) is proud to announce the recipients of the SADA Scholarship Program for the 2024-2025 academic year. This year, 33 deserving students have been awarded scholarships totaling $49,500.
The SADA Scholarship Program, which began in 2008, has a long-standing tradition of supporting the educational aspirations of students connected to the automotive industry. To date, SADA has awarded an impressive $936,142 in scholarships, aiding the academic pursuits of numerous students and their families.
From March 15 to May 15, students who are dealership employees, dependents, or spouses were invited to apply for the SADA Scholarship. This year, a total of 58 entries were received, all of which showcased remarkable talent and dedication.
Applicants were asked to submit essays on one of two topics: “Imagine you have a super-power and what is your kryptonite” or “Travel to any time, place, and why.” The essays reflected the creativity and thoughtfulness of the applicants, making the selection process highly competitive.
Art Kiolbassa, SADA Chair, expressed his admiration for the scholarship recipients and their exceptional essays. “We are thrilled to support these outstanding students as they pursue their educational goals. Each of the 33 awarded students will receive a $1,500 scholarship to assist with their educational expenses,” said Kiolbassa. “The scholarships are part of SADA’s ongoing commitment to invest in the future of the automotive industry and support the communities in which we live and work.”
